Bone Marrow Stem Cells repair muscle tissue, They did a test with mice to prove that stem cells moved from the
bone marrow into damaged tissues. To do that they used stem cells tagged
with fluorescent proteins. All the mice were given stem cells with a
fluorescent tag.
All the mice were give the same injury in the right leg.
Half the mice were given StemEnhance™, and half were not, over six weeks.
Both groups had some recovery of the damaged muscle, but the recovery
in the group getting StemEnhance™, was significantly more rapid.
Photographic evidence shows the concentration of fluorescence in the
damaged muscle, proving that the stem cells migrated from the bone
marrow into the muscle.
The amount of fluorescence in the undamaged left leg was small,
demonstrating that the stem cells were attracted to the area where the
injury was by signals sent from the injury site. Additional stem cells
released into the blood do help to repair damaged muscular tissue.
